A birthday in another country
This year I had my golden birthday in another country. So far all my other birthdays have been in the United States. So this is my first out of the country. I am now 15 and only 3 years until I have to move out.
This birthday I had an ice cream cake or a drum stick. It was a super size. It had caramel, and chocolate, and nuts on it. The caramel went all the way not just on the top but mixed in with the vanilla ice cream. Well I think it was vanilla. Dad held up a lighter behind it to look like a candle. As shown on the picture.
Then I got my last two presents. First I got a photo passport from grandma. Then later on I got 3 more audio books. Before that me and dad had two fun trips out on the lake.
Our first trip was when dad rented a paddle boat for us. (He and I) So I am just going to say that I came back dry on this trip. We had one hour out on it. So I of course was in charge of steering the boat. So with great trouble we somewhat followed a loon. It was hard because he went under water a lot. We got some pictures of the loon and a weird bird. None of the bold eagles. So just to show you how bad I am at identifying animals by sound I heard one of the loons sound and thought it was a wolf's howl.
So dad decides afterward to take the kayak out. He puts it on the water edge so we can get in. This is the lesson either stand until he sits or what. I had gotten in and sat down; then when dad sat down we got soaked. So dad had unknowingly left the drain plug open and when he sat down the water came in. He got out fast but I was not as quick the water soaked me and that was before we even had left the shore. Dad closed it up and we left. We got to the other side of the lake to find an air hole on the bottom so we went back.

My very own blog?? Seriously??
If Sarah ever gets off being grounded from the computer, she'll post stories, poems and whatever else strikes her mood on this - her very own blog.
